About museum

In the premises where Cherepovets's oldest pharmacy once operated, an exhibition presents the long history of pharmacy — from "herbal shops" and state pharmacies to the pharmaceutical preparations provided to the country's population. The collection includes antique reference books, professional equipment, mechanisms and apparatuses, signboards and photographs of pre‑revolutionary and Soviet pharmacies. You can also see a "herbal shop" recreated in the museum space, as well as cabinets with wet specimens, taxidermied animals and dried herbs.
