Alexander Bashlachev Museum
About museum
In honor of the sixtieth anniversary of Alexander Bashlachev's birth, a museum dedicated to the poet's memory was opened in his hometown. The creation of the museum was initiated by people for whom Bashlachev's work and memory were dear. In 2009 the poet's fans arranged a community exhibition, and in 2020 the idea of a new concept was proposed. Alexander's family provided invaluable support, and the poet's friends shared unique materials, recordings, and items. The dramaturgy of music, sound, light, video, visual effects, and objects transformed the small space into a living tableau portraying the story of a memorable personality. The exhibition features recollections from his mother and friends and Alexander's voice, as well as songs and draft poems. The project authors created an original audiovisual performance in which the chronicle of the poet's life and creative path is presented through the voices of relatives, friends, songs, and the thoughts he shared in interviews.
