Ahmet-Zaki Validi Museum
About museum
The Ahmet-Zaki Validi Museum was opened in 1994 in honor of the renowned orientalist scholar Ahmet-Zaki Validi and today is part of the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The museum's collection contains more than 1,600 items, including a 1917 map of Bashkortostan with the professor's notes, an audio cassette with a recording of Ahmet-Zaki's speech and songs performed by him. The main exhibition hall presents the life and work of Ahmet-Zaki, as well as a reconstruction of the interior of a Muslim educational institution and the Validi family home. In the house's courtyard visitors can see Validi's well, a small green park, and a stele erected in honor of the orientalist professor. This museum is not only the cultural center of the village of Kuzyanovo but also an important place of remembrance for the Bashkir people.
