Memorial Museum named after V.S. Zolotukhin

In the village of Bystryy Istok, the birthplace of Vladimir Sergeyevich Zolotukhin, a Memorial Complex named in his honor was built for his 75th anniversary. The memorial was opened on June 21, 2016, on the initiative of the Governor of Altai Krai, Alexander Borisovich Karlin. The complex includes a branch of the State Museum of the History of Literature, Art and Culture of Altai, the Zolotukhin Memorial Museum on the first floor of the building, a cultural and leisure complex with an auditorium seating 190, a choreography classroom, theatrical and choral studios, a local history museum on the second floor, and a summer stage with 72 seats. The Memorial Complex grounds provide barrier-free access for persons with musculoskeletal disabilities and designated spaces for wheelchair users. Adjacent to the complex is the Church of the Intercession (built at Zolotukhin's initiative and with his support) and the grave of Vladimir Sergeyevich. A café called 'Pokrovskoye' is located nearby.
