Memorial Complex 'Partisan Glade'

Partisan Glade is the place where, in September 1941, a united partisan detachment from the Bryansk city and Bryansk district partisan units was assembled; they began the struggle for the freedom and independence of Russia prior to the start of the Nazi-Fascist occupation. In 1969 the 'Partisan Glade' memorial complex was opened, dedicated to all participants of the partisan movement in the Bryansk Region. The architect of the complex was Vasily Nikolaevich Gorodkov. In subsequent years the memorial complex was supplemented with new features that commemorate the immortal struggle for freedom and independence.
