About museum
In Temnikov, by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Mordovian ASSR No. 447 of July 5, 1968, a house-museum of composer, balalaika player and conductor Leonid Ivanovich Voinov was established. He lived here for the last thirteen years and hosted many well-known artists, composers, writers and orchestral musicians. The museum displays more than 200 authentic exhibits in an area of 60 sq. m., as well as a portrait of L. I. Voinov painted by artist E. A. Nozdrin. Here you can see documents, photographs and the musician's personal belongings: a balalaika, a piano, and a 1898 violin inscribed OTTO MIGGE, London.
