Lyskovo State Local History Museum
About museum
The museum was founded in 1918 and is located in the house of merchant I. L. Kudryavtsev in the town center. It features permanent exhibitions "Peasant's Izba" (Peasant's Hut), "Intellectual's Study", and part of a merchant interior from the second half of the 19th century. The nature hall is the most interesting for children, where you can learn many fascinating facts about the lives of animals. The museum also has a historical exhibition beginning with a hall dedicated to the founding of the ancient settlement. Here are materials from archaeological excavations, photos of abbesses and monastery superiors, items of church utensils, household and craft production, as well as works by Lyskovo craftsmen, goods from a merchant's shop and others. The museum also hosts exhibition events featuring works by local artists and folk craft masters, as well as their colleagues from other towns.
