Lyubertsy City Park of Culture and Recreation
About museum
In 1704, Peter I the Great gifted the territory of the Lyubertsy land to his favorite, Alexander Danilovich Menshikov. Linden trees were planted in the park at that time; they have survived to this day. In Soviet times there were attractions in the park, but later they were all removed. At the end of 2000, Alexander Petrovich Murashkin was appointed park director and began restoring the park. Since 2005 the park has had a zoo, home to rabbits, geese, chickens, cattle, and squirrels. In 2007 a brown bear named Masha arrived in the park and attracts many visitors. Thanks to the help of M. P. Izmestyev, director of the Lyubertsy Local History Museum, the park was restored and turned into a beautiful place.
