Kolpashevo Local History Museum
About museum
The Narim District Local History Museum was transferred from the village of Parabel to the urban-type settlement of Kolpashevo, the administrative center of the Narim District, in 1963 and became a branch of the Tomsk Regional Museum of Local History. From 1970 to 1977 it underwent major renovations, and in 1977 a permanent exhibition was opened, consisting of the Nature Department (4 halls) and the History Department (7 halls). The museum's collections contain more than 32,000 items reflecting the material and spiritual culture of the population of northern Tomsk Oblast. Works by Tomsk and local artists are also exhibited. The museum attracts many visitors who can learn more about the culture and history of the region.
