City of Karpinsk (Bogoslovsk) was founded in 1759, located 80 km from the Ural Mountains, and since 1941 has borne the name of A.P. Karpinsky — a scientist, geologist, the first president of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, whose life and work are presented in one of the museum's exhibitions. The Karpinsky Local History Museum has been open to visitors since October 23, 1981. It has 4 departments. The museum collections contain over 13,000 storage units.

Collection of Kasli castings (artistic casting of the Urals) - 22 storage units.
