Gayaz Iskhaki Historical-Memorial and Ethnographic Complex

About museum

In 1993, at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, a museum complex was opened, which was initially located in the House of Culture of the village of Kutlushkino. In 1999 it was moved to the house of the merchant Saifutdin, where the interior of an early 20th-century Tatar house has been preserved. An estate ensemble and buildings characteristic of a Tatar rural house of the past century were added. The exhibition presents the history of the village of Kutlushkino, where Gayaz Iskhaki was born and raised, and tells about his childhood, family, and his creative and life path. In particular, the exhibition recreates a rural merchant's shop.
