Gridiny Intellectual Museum "In the Family Circle"
About museum
The Gridiny Intellectual Museum "In the Family Circle" is a series of rooms depicting the life of one family across different historical periods. For example, in one room you can visit the workshop of Pavel Feoktistovich Frolov, where he sewed uniforms. In his memory a collection of sewing machines has been assembled, ranging from toy machines to rare antiques. In another room there is a detailed reconstruction of the Frolov family's household, with a Russian izba, its furnishings, everyday items, domestic activities and traditions. At the center is the Russian stove, regarded as the heart and soul of the home and a symbol of the Russian spirit. The museum offers the opportunity to see a real, working stove and to sample dishes and tea from a Russian samovar.
