Bratsk Art Exhibition Hall

Since January 1990 a branch of the city combined museum — the Art Exhibition Hall — has been operating in Bratsk. It hosts and organizes exhibitions of professional artists and masters of decorative and applied arts, local craftsmen from Bratsk and the Irkutsk Region, children's art, collectors' assemblies, works by photographers and winners of the annual photographers' competition. The hall offers creative meetings with artists, poets and musicians, and chamber concerts of classical music. The core of the museum collection consists of works by Bratsk and Irkutsk artists, as well as paintings and graphic works by artists from Russia and neighboring countries, donated by N. I. Kornilov. The Bratsk Art Exhibition Hall has become one of the city's centers of cultural leisure, thanks to contacts with the International Roerich Center, the "Nikor" gallery, the International Association "Art of the Peoples of the World", the Russian Union of Artists and the Blacksmiths' Union, regional museums and vocational schools.
