Art and Ethnographic Complex 'Fairy Residence of Baba Yaga'
About museum
In 1981 a wooden House of Culture was built in the village of Kotlovka, Grakhovsky District, intended for the leisure of local residents. In 2003 it was transformed into the Center of Russian Culture 'Obereg', which aims to preserve the traditions, rituals and customs of Russian culture. In 2013 the municipal autonomous cultural institution 'Art and Ethnographic Complex "Fairy Residence of Baba Yaga"' was opened on its basis. Here you can spend time usefully and enjoyably for anyone interested: children, adults, youth, people with disabilities, families, groups and companies. You can step into a fairy tale, view works by craftsmen inspired by Russian folk tales, see park sculptures, the rotating hut of Baba Yaga and the Leshy's hut. Tourist excursion services are offered here, such as theatrical performances. In 2015 the café 'Gornitsa' was also opened, where celebrations and festivities are held.
