Vyborg Art Gallery
About museum
On August 21, 2008, the Art Gallery was established in the Officers' House of the Vyborg garrison to promote contemporary visual art among servicemen, their families, and the residents of Vyborg and the surrounding district. In 2009 the gallery won one of the prizes in the "Golden Falcon" competition of the power structures of the Russian Federation. After the Officers' House was liquidated, the gallery was incorporated into the "Hermitage — Vyborg". Over the years the gallery has organized more than 50 exhibitions of painting, graphics, photography, decorative and applied arts, and others. More than 200 artists, photographers, sculptors, reenactors and craftsmen from Vyborg, Saint Petersburg, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and other countries have presented their work at the gallery. The gallery also hosts educational, cultural and creative projects, master classes, a literary club and more.
