State Museum of the History of Religion
About museum
There are few museums in Russia and worldwide dedicated to the history of religion. One of them is the Museum of Religion, which holds more than 180,000 exhibits, dating from the 6th millennium to the present. The museum's main activities are the study of cultural monuments and exhibitions, as well as the development of various educational and museum-pedagogical programs. For different audiences the museum offers museum and tourist services. The museum also actively participates in addressing the socio-cultural problems of the Northwest region, developing socially oriented projects for children, youth, military personnel, representatives of different confessions, etc.
