About museum
On December 5, 1963, a local history museum was opened in the settlement of Golyshmanovo, which over the years has become a reliable keeper of history and a promoter of local history knowledge. Through the efforts of teachers from School No. 1 and amateur local historians, hundreds of antiquities were collected that allow an understanding of the life and everyday life of a Siberian village. In 1984 the museum was awarded the title 'People's'. In 1996 it moved to a new building, where it opened its exhibitions in seven halls presenting materials about people and their deeds for the benefit of the homeland. A special place in the museum's work is given to the patriotic education of the younger generation. Memory and courage lessons, meetings with veterans and home-front workers are held here. The museum also cooperates with the search unit 'Krechet' and assists in locating fallen soldiers. Over the years the museum has become a reliable keeper of history and a promoter of local history knowledge.
