About museum
The Museum of Memory is a place that preserves the memory of the most heroic chapters of our city's history. On May 9, 2015, the Museum of Memory was opened to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The opening was attended by frontline veterans, home-front workers, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan R. Kh. Zaripov, as well as G. E. Emelyanov, the author of the museum's concept. The exhibition presents detailed information about the heroic deeds of Yelabuga residents who went through the Great Patriotic War, as well as about those who remained on the home front and aided the Motherland. The Museum of Memory is a place that preserves the memory of the most heroic and significant pages of Yelabuga's history.
