About museum

In 1994 the Ekaterininsky Museum of History and Local Lore was established. Its exhibition presents the region's nature, the economy and daily life of the local population, as well as the history of the Great Patriotic War and earlier events. Over the past 20 years the museum has acquired many interesting exhibits: 18th-century coins, a samovar, a collection of coins from foreign countries, an icon, a garmon (a Russian accordion) brought by a serviceman in the early 20th century, and others. The museum also created a Hall of Military Glory where the surnames of fellow countrymen who died in the Great Patriotic War have been restored.
