About museum
The building was constructed in 1912 as a house for possible visits by the gentry and for housing specialists; after the Revolution it was nationalized. In 1940 it was transferred to a technical college, which moved to a new building in the 1970s but left its workshops in this building. In 2014 the building was transferred to the museum, part of the premises was renovated, and a new exhibition opened.
2014 — the exhibition "Secrets of Lysva Enamel" opened, which tells the story of the oldest manufactory in the city. It is equipped with an enameler's workshop where master classes in hot enamel on plaques and mugs are held;
2015 — the exhibition "Wings of Lysva" opened;
2015 — the project "War Comes in Different Forms" was implemented;
2016 — the children's design bureau "To Fly!" began operating;
2018 — the exhibition "The One Who Sits in the Pond" opened;
2019 — the project "War Comes in Different Forms. Afghanistan" was implemented;
2021 — the Local History Resource Center began operating.
The exhibition halls host various projects and exhibitions: the musical salons of the Shuvalov House, balls, ceremonial receptions.
Since 2018 the Lysva Museum has been a venue of the "Virtual Concert Hall" project. Broadcasts of concerts by the Perm and Moscow philharmonics take place.
