A. Abu-Bakar House-Museum
About museum
\r\nA. Abu-Bakar House-Museum — the first People's Writer of Dagestan, the founder of Dagestani cinematography — is located in his native village of Kubachi. Here visitors can learn about the life and creative path of A. Abu-Bakar, view books, diaries, letters, manuscripts, photographs and the writer's personal belongings. There is also a collection of ethnographic items and household objects, as well as ceramics, cast bronze cauldrons, copper and brass vessels, including a large jug "much'al" and a small jug "qutk'a". You can also see the unique costume ensemble of Kubachi women: brocade dresses, an exact replica of a quilted coat with sleeves to the elbow, and headwear "kIaz". The house-museum is a branch of the National Museum of Dagestan named after A. Taho-Godi; it was opened in 2012 and has in its collection more than 900 exhibits.
