House-Museum of Army General N. F. Vatutin
About museum
The House-Museum of Army General N. F. Vatutin was established by decision of the kolkhoz board in 1950. It consists of two buildings: the ancestral estate and the house built by soldiers of the First Ukrainian Front for N. F. Vatutin's mother. In 2001, on the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Hero of the Soviet Union, a new exhibition was opened. It was created based on historical-chronological and comprehensive-thematic principles, taking into account the museum's holdings, methodological approaches, and museum practice. The total exhibition area is 97.7 sq. m. The museum's collections include 1,275 items, including 622 items from N. F. Vatutin's personal belongings and household items of his relatives. The exhibition is of significant importance for the military-patriotic education of schoolchildren, youth, and other groups of the region's population. The museum's collections are continually replenished with new exhibits, each with its own fate and history.
