A.A. Ugryumov House-Museum
About museum
On February 26, 2002, the museum opened its doors to visitors. It was built in 1929 of wood, decorated with carved window surrounds. The house was home to A. P. Ugryumov (1874–1939) — the first doctor of the Kokshenga zemstvo hospital — and Andrey Andreyevich Ugryumov (1915–1995) — an Honorary Citizen of the village of Tarnogsky Gorodok, an Honored Teacher of the Schools of the RSFSR, and a local historian. The museum features a permanent exhibition of 254 items divided into three halls. The first hall tells about the local historians of Kokshenga, the second presents the interior of the Ugryumov family's living room, and the third displays original documents, objects, and photographs of the famous local historian and his family.
