About museum
The Memorial Museum "House Where V. I. Ulyanov (Lenin) Was Born" is located in the wing of the house of the Simbirsk landlady A. S. Pribylovskaya. The Ulyanov family moved to Simbirsk in 1869 from Nizhny Novgorod to join their father, Ilya Nikolaevich Ulyanov, following his transfer. It was here on April 10, 1870 that V. I. Ulyanov (Lenin) was born. In the museum you can see a reconstruction of the domestic setting of the 1870s in which the Simbirsk intelligentsia lived, and also learn about the activities of Ilya Nikolaevich Ulyanov, who was an educator and pedagogue. In addition, you can view an exhibition of items that belonged to the Ulyanov family. The museum allows visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of that era and to learn about the life of V. I. Ulyanov (Lenin).
