\r\nIn 1990, at the initiative of local historian Ivan Kornilov, the Demidov Local History Museum was opened. Here you can learn about various crafts and the history of the town of Demidov, and a number of excursions are offered: "The Ancient Past of Our Region", "The Renowned Masters of Porechye", "Porechye Pier", "Demidov in the Years of the Great Patriotic War", "Y. V. Nikulin — Born in Demidov". The museum displays relics that belonged to such famous fellow countrymen as Y. V. Nikulin, A. V. Kokorin, V. V. Romanenkov, E. N. Vodovozova, L. V. Vishkarev and others.
