Center for the Promotion of Visual Arts
About museum
The Center for the Promotion of Visual Arts was established in 1992 and is located in the Governor's House, an architectural monument from the late 18th century. It hosts exhibitions of works by artists from the Vladimir region. Inter-museum projects presenting the best examples of Russian and foreign art from different periods are also held. The Center has a rich collection of works by local and foreign artists: paintings, graphics, sculpture, miniatures, glass, ceramics, metal, and embroidery. Some of these are displayed in the permanent exhibition. An important part of the Center's activities is educational work with young people, engaging them in Vladimir's artistic space — an ancient city of Russia.
