About museum
Buglen Local History Museum named after R. I. Dzhambulatova, founded in 1998, is a branch of the National Museum of Dagestan named after A. Taho-Godi. It comprises over 1,600 exhibits dedicated to the history and ethnography of the Dagestani village of Buglen. It features notable people who brought fame to Buglen and Dagestan across Russia, in particular Al-Klych Khasaev. In addition, you can learn about the life of the old village through a rich ethnographic collection and see household items, national clothing, silver and bronze jewelry, as well as examples of gold embroidery. The Hall of Fame preserves the memory of Buglen residents who participated in the Civil War, World War II, and the war in Afghanistan. A special place is occupied by the Shikhsaidov family, thanks to whom the village of Buglen became known beyond Dagestan. Among the members of this family was Isa Shikhsaidov, the chairman of the district executive committee, who during World War II led a fighter battalion.
