About museum
The Salikh Battal Museum in Bolshiye Tigany was opened in 1998 by Dagiya Nabievna Khafizova, a senior teacher at the secondary school, after 50 years of service. Since 2003 it has been affiliated with the branch of the Museum of the Native Land named after V.I. Abramov of the Alekseevsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan and occupies a separate well-appointed building. Here visitors can learn about the history of Bolshiye Tigany, the culture, everyday life and traditions of the Tatar people. In addition, the museum presents an exhibition on the Bolshiye Tigany Hungarian burial ground, identified by archaeologists in 1974. You can also learn about the Battal family — Salikh, Abdulla and Mubarak. All this and much more is presented in the museum's exhibition.
