Bogotol City Local History Museum

About museum

In 1993 a museum was opened in Bogotol which, with the support of the city administration and city council, still offers visitors four exhibition halls, a multimedia hall and a collections depository. The museum has 14 collections with 6,327 exhibits, as well as permanent thematic displays dedicated to the peasant life of the Prichulymye region, merchant life, Soviet-era life, and to nature, the city and people. In 2019 the museum's activities were focused on marking the 85th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk Krai, the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Battle of Stalingrad, and the Year of Theatre in Russia. As part of its cultural and educational activities the museum holds tours, lectures, master classes and meetings with interesting people. On October 8, 2020, thanks to the federal project "Digital Culture" of the national project "Culture", a Virtual Concert Hall for 50 seats was opened in the city.
