You only need to go to Kostroma and visit the Architectural and Ethnographic Department of the Kostroma Museum-Reserve. Here you will see unique examples of wooden architecture — izbas and small churches — as well as the settlement's gates, bridges over calm stretches of water, and little houses with exhibits that tell the story of Kostroma peasant life. Here you can see the izbas and learn details of peasant daily life during interactive programs, which are held by prior arrangement.
