Yartsevsky Historical and Local Lore Museum

In 1975, a historical and local history museum was opened in the town of Yartsevo, which initially occupied part of the foyer and a small hall of the 'Russia' cinema, as well as two exhibition halls, an exhibition room and a storage facility. In 2015-2017 the museum moved to a new building and occupied the entire third floor, where there were five exhibition halls, an exhibition room and a storage facility. In 2018 the museum moved to the first floor of a residential building into the former central pharmacy. It carries out activities in three areas: local history, patriotic education and exhibitions. The museum's collection comprises almost six thousand items, and the director is Elena Nikolaevna Aleshchenkova.
