Yartsevo Historical and Local Lore Museum

In 1975, a historical and local lore museum was opened in the town of Yartsevo. Initially it occupied part of the foyer and the small auditorium of the "Russia" cinema, as well as two exhibition halls, an exhibition room and storage facilities. In 2015–2017 the museum moved to a new building and fully occupied the third floor, which had five exhibition halls, an exhibition room and storage facilities. In 2018 the museum moved to the ground floor of a residential building into the former central pharmacy. It operates in three areas: local history, patriotic education and exhibition activities. The museum's collection holds almost six thousand items, and the director is Elena Nikolaevna Aleshchenkova.
