CK19 Cultural Center presents the annual exhibition-competition of young masters of fine art, dedicated to the memory of Novosibirsk muralist A. S. Chernobrovtsev. The exhibition includes more than 70 works by painters and graphic artists from Berdsk, Kemerovo, Mezhdurechensk, Novoaltaysk and Novosibirsk.
The exhibition is an opportunity for young authors to demonstrate their personal professional level and range of artistic views; to present a wide amplitude of aesthetic searches, formal-stylistic and pictorial-compositional solutions.
All works presented in the exhibition are an embodiment and reflection of the personal worldview and reflections of their authors in the complex and ambiguous world of contemporary art, full of contradictory artistic systems and various kinds of practices.
'Undoubtedly, the domestic academic school remains a kind of beacon in the boundless field of contemporary art for many young artists,' shares art historian and lecturer at NGHU Sergey Petrenko. 'From its examples we see how multifaceted and heterogeneous academic education itself has become in terms of working with form, rhythmic and spatial constructions, as well as the plot-thematic repertoire. After all, it is precisely it that preserves and transmits the basic categories of classical aesthetics, allowing young authors to realize the boldest creative ideas.'
In the exhibition space one can examine the dialogue between the artist and ancient mythology as well as the modern urban environment, the symbolism of simple natural forms and the immediacy of life-study impressions. Visitors will discover fragments of personal memories tinged with nostalgia, the space of rural life and a world of objects reflecting the social character of the subject, as well as a self-portrait in the studio and a beautiful, almost folkloric winter tale.
The interregional exhibition of young artists is a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with the work of contemporary masters, their worldview, culture, creative priorities and, of course, their high professional level.
The exhibition runs until December 24, 2023.
