Preparing for the reopening of its historic building after renovation, the Polytechnic Museum tells its story through exhibitions.

The Polytechnic Museum is not only exhibitions. It hosts lectures by leading scientists from around the world, scientific debates, educational programs, poetry and music evenings in the Grand Auditorium, and many other events that have made our museum a unique phenomenon in national and world culture.

On the overview tour of the exhibition "Polytechnic Museum: Bringing the Future Closer", visitors will be able to see more than 500 exhibits from all eras, sense the scale of the museum and the diversity of its 151-year history in an autobiographical narrative from the initial idea to the design of a polytechnic future.

Among the many exhibits on display: Pafnuty Chebyshev's "Striding Mechanism," or "Stopokhod," created in the 1860s; the "Shtöver" large automobile from 1899; the tissue-equivalent phantom mannequin FM-2, which flew in space in 1969 and 1970; and a functioning theremin designed by the Soviet physicist and inventor Lev Termen.

Thematic guided tours will be held according to the schedule. To sign up, call +7 495 780 60 27.

When booking a guided tour, an admission ticket to the Museum must also be purchased for each person.

The exhibition is held at the Museum of Moscow (Zubovsky Boulevard, 2, bldg. 1).
