The "Science, Technology, Art" Museum of MFUA-MASI University invites you to a free lecture exploring the phenomenon of thefts of works of art from museum collections.

Few of us stop to consider how varied and unpredictable the history of museum artifact thefts is: from the misadventures of the famous "Mona Lisa" to the incredible daylight theft of Munch's "The Scream." These and many other incidents will be discussed in an author's lecture by research fellow of the Educational Museum and Exhibition Complex "Science, Technology, Art" of MFUA, Maria Speshinskaya-Zorich. At the lecture, participants will learn about the most high-profile art thefts of the 20th century and will also see that, despite the romantic aura around the image of thieves created by cinema, this "business" causes significant harm to the museum sector.

The lecture will take place on March 2 at 12:00. We look forward to welcoming everyone at: Moscow, Vvedenskogo St., 1A, 8th floor, room 8.10 (Educational Museum and Exhibition Complex "Science, Technology, Art").
