Russia Day is coming soon, a holiday that brings together all the citizens of our country and is celebrated in a special way. The museum-reserve's festive program includes tours, interactive activities, quests, and master classes.
A classic overview tour will transport visitors into the atmosphere of life in the capital's Sloboda. It was here, under Ivan the Terrible, five centuries ago that Russian statehood was shaped. The introductory journey continues with a tasting of Ivan tea and a talk about the arrangement of the tsar's palace from the bell tower's viewing platform. This program will be available every hour on 12, 14 and 15 June. The theme of the first Russian autocrat's stay here will be supported by a dramatized tour. The 'Visit to the Tsar' can be attended on 13 June. Invited guests will enjoy not only the reception 'At the Sytniy Yard' with a special treat, but also the stately 'Selection of the Tsar's Bride' presented as a fun show-interactive.
- said Ekaterina Kopeykina, head of the department of the museum-reserve 'Alexandrovskaya Sloboda'.
At 'In Search of the Tsar's Treasures' young visitors will be able to explore the ancient kremlin. An exciting quest game on 14 June at 12:00 will transport them into a world of adventures, mysteries and riddles. On the same day, there is also a program for creative enthusiasts. You can learn the art of pottery, learn about the development of Sloboda crafts and ultimately create your own clay souvenir in the creative center at 12:00 and 14:00. Don't forget to sign up in advance.
In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory we invite you to visit the exhibition 'Time of Heroes', created in cooperation with other museums. Over several months it has been visited by seven and a half thousand children and adults from different cities. In the intimate setting of the exhibition halls — photographic documents, weapons, military uniforms, and soldiers' everyday items serve as a reminder of the hardships of the Great Patriotic War (WWII), of key battles, and of the feats of our countrymen at the front and on the home front. A separate section focuses on participants in the special military operation (SVO). On 12 June, when visiting the exhibition (with free tickets), use the audio guide 'Where the War Is Heard...', based on real stories. And on 15 June at 12:00 and 14:00 a guided tour for museum guests is scheduled here.
Let's celebrate the holiday together with patriotic visits to Russia's glorious past!
