Exhibition 'The Yusupovs. Luxury Through the Ages'
About exhibition
A large-scale exhibition project of the State Hermitage presents one of the largest art collections in Russia — the treasures of the princely Yusupov family. The exhibition features more than 400 works of Western European and Russian painting, graphic arts, sculpture, and applied arts, from Antiquity to the early 20th century. The display includes masterpieces from the painting collection, the Yusupovs' portrait gallery, the princesses' wardrobe items, and jewelry. Special attention is paid to the Yusupovs' ties to the history of Kazan, including their kinship with Queen Suyumbike, which makes the exhibition particularly significant.
