About exhibition
The photo-documentary exhibition introduces the life and work of the great Russian composer Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka. He is regarded as the founder of the Russian national opera and one of the pioneers of the Russian romance (art song), and he had a profound influence on the work of other great Russian composers. The exhibition is provided for display by the M. I. Glinka Museum‑Estate in Novospasskoye, the only memorial museum of the composer in the world. Novospasskoye played a decisive role in Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka's life. It was on his father's estate that he was born, spent his childhood and adolescence, received his first education, and where his powerful talent began to emerge.
