Exhibition «Chemistry and Life»
About exhibition
The exhibition introduces fascinating facts from the history of chemistry and tells about the scientists and their achievements that shaped the course of this very serious yet so engaging science. The Museum of Enlightenment's exhibition recreates the image of a Soviet school with its blackboard, desks and school uniforms. In the improvised classroom, visitors will see a school chemistry laboratory and learn which chemical elements occur in nature in their pure form. Using photographs by an Omsk microscopist, microphotographer, biologist and well-known educator Anatoly Ivanovich Mikhaltsov, the exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to see microcrystals of vitamin C, aspirin and mineral water, as well as glimpses of what happens in a laboratory test tube during a chemical experiment. Visit the “Chemistry and Life” exhibition and enrich your knowledge of how chemical discoveries and research have changed and continue to change the world around us!
