Every era produces its own heroes—those who, through acts of labor or combat, display their best qualities and remain forever in history and in people's memory. The heroes of the present era are successors of the heroes of the past. Tracing this unbroken connection, the museum staff created the exhibition 'Heroes Beyond Time.' The exposition tells the stories of Novosibirsk residents who were heroes of the Great Patriotic War, of combat operations in Afghanistan and Chechnya, and of the special military operation in Ukraine. Among them are Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation, and recipients of the Order of Courage. The city also takes pride in its defense industry enterprises, and examples of the labor feats of their workers are presented at the exhibition. Here you can not only discover heroic chapters of Novosibirsk residents' lives but also see some of their mementos and uniform items, and examine models of the weapons produced by three Novosibirsk defense factories. The exhibition also includes modern weapons used in the area of the special military operation (SMO) by both the Russian army and the Ukrainian armed forces. Part of the themed photo zone is an ejection seat from a MiG-17 aircraft manufactured at the V. P. Chkalov Novosibirsk Aviation Plant.
