Chernyansky District Local History Museum
About museum
On April 25, 1986, a decision was made to establish the Chernyansky District Local History Museum, which was opened to the public on November 14, 1987. It presents the history of the Chernyansky District across all historical periods, and the majority of the exhibits are originals. The museum offers a permanent exhibition "History of the Development of the Chernyansky Region", walking and off-site tours, museum classes and lectures. The museum also actively participates in the development and implementation of social and cultural projects. In 2013, a building that is an architectural monument of regional significance from the 19th century was transferred to the museum, and in 2015 the museum was opened in it. The museum's collections comprise seven thousand items, and in eight permanent exhibition halls you can see the history and culture of the region from ancient times to the present.
