Kupino Center for Traditional Culture
About museum
At the Kupino Center for Traditional Culture and Crafts, no one asks you to stand back from the display cases and not touch anything. You can use 9 exhibition halls where you will find unique exhibits, archaeological finds, household items of our ancestors and their technological achievements, as well as a space recreating the everyday life of an ordinary Soviet citizen. There is a hall dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as the founder's office and a large exhibition of Kupino craft achievements. All exhibits can be touched and tried on. You can also cook a soldier's porridge, gather and take home the signature tea, sew an herbal aromatic pillow and make a clay pot on a real potter's wheel. Children can paint a wooden fish magnet, mold a toy from clay and have fun on the playground. Visits are by appointment only and in small groups, in compliance with current restrictive measures.
