Yermekeyevsky Historical and Local Lore Museum
About museum
In 1990 the Yermekeyevsky Historical and Local Lore Museum was established. It includes four exhibition halls: "History and Development of the District in Documents", "Ethnography of the Peoples of the Republic of Bashkortostan", "Nature and Wildlife", and "The Great Patriotic War: history of the district's enterprises, institutions, and organizations." As of today the museum houses 635 exhibits and 329 items in its scientific and auxiliary collection. It has participated in republican reviews and competitions of state and public museums of military and labor glory and in events dedicated to the 450th anniversary of the voluntary entry of Bashkiria into Russia. In 2006 the museum was awarded an honorary diploma by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and in 2014 it became the winner of the republican contest "Best Municipal Cultural Institutions Located in Rural Settlements".
