A. I. Herzen House-Museum Exhibition
About exhibition
The museum consists of two complexes: the old memorial Tuchkov House, which houses the "Herzen in Russia" exhibition, and a modern annex containing the exhibition hall "Herzen in the West" and a conference hall for public events and temporary exhibitions. The exhibition is equipped with numerous modern technical means that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the 19th-century atmosphere: streets of European cities in the "foreign" hall, touch kiosks, soundscapes for "Rome", "Paris", "Geneva" and "London", an interactive arch featuring views of Russia and Europe, and much more. Among the exhibits are many unique printed books, as well as both artistic and photographic portraits of Alexander Herzen, his wife and friends. Visitors will see personal belongings associated with the daily life of the Russian writer and public figure.
