The museum displays various objects related to the history and culture of the town and the region. Here you can see interesting household and industrial equipment, works of art, archival documents, photographs and much more. The museum hosts various cultural-historical celebrations, lectures and exhibitions. You can also attend museum lessons and take educational courses.
The museum was opened in 1968 as a Museum of Public Education, and in 1995 it was entered into the state register. History teachers Drenin, Volkov and Baranov were involved in creating the museum's collections. It is located in an early 20th-century building that belonged to the merchant's wife Morozova. The museum presents various items of the town's and region's history and culture: household and industrial objects, art, archival documents, photographs and much more. The museum regularly holds cultural-historical celebrations, lectures and exhibitions, and also offers museum lessons and educational courses.
