Bogoroditskoye Estate

About museum

In 2012, on the grounds of a restored 18th-century wing at Bogoroditskoye, the military-historical museum "Bogoroditskoye Field" was opened, commemorating events of the manor culture of the 18th–19th centuries. Its exhibition features two sections: "In '41 near Vyazma" and "The year forty-one is sacred only because of them; without them the forty-fifth would not have come." It is based on documents, maps, photographs and personal items related to the battles that took place from October 2 to 14, 1941. The park contains large-scale exhibits from the Great Patriotic War, anti-tank hedgehogs and other artifacts. The Alley of Glory leads to a mass grave on the bank of the Bebri River.
