Ural State Military History Museum
About museum
On January 15, 2008, the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region adopted a decree establishing the Ural State Military History Museum. Its basis was the Regional Museum of Airborne Forces 'Krylataya Gvardiya' (Winged Guard), which had been successfully developing since 1990. Today the museum includes 3 branches: the Airborne Forces Museum 'Krylataya Gvardiya' in Yekaterinburg, the Museum of intelligence officer Nikolai Ivanovich Kuznetsov in the town of Talitsa, and the house-museum of Hero of the Soviet Union General I. I. Fedyuninsky in the village of Gileva. Since 2011, the museum's traveling exhibition 'Military History of the Urals' has been operating at the Center for Military-Patriotic Education, Training and Conscription of Citizens for Military Service of the Sverdlovsk Region named after Hero of the Soviet Union N. I. Kuznetsov (military post Yegorshino).
