About museum
\r\nSince 2001, the Historical and Local History Museum has been operating in the settlement of Svetly Yar. On September 5, 2009, the splendid opening of the first phase of the museum building was held. This building was constructed in 1780 and belonged to the merchant Petr Yakovlevich Rudakov. It hosts educational events that draw attention to patriotism, civic responsibility and accountability for the future of the Motherland. As part of this activity, tours, lectures, 'lessons of courage', meetings with war and labor veterans, as well as exhibitions and photo exhibitions are held. The museum's collections include approximately 2,785 storage units, including photographs and wartime exhibits, household items, freestanding furniture dating from 1900, numismatic exhibits and an ethnographic corner. The museum features four permanent exhibitions: 'Nature Hall', 'Crossroads of Civilizations', 'Rural Life of the Early 20th Century', 'History of Luchka'.
