About museum
Various events are held at the museum, such as holidays, concerts, quizzes, lectures and other activities.
In 1965 a foundation stone for a temple was laid in our district, initiated by the historian and local historian Makhmut Gubaevich Makhmudov. In 1985 the Sterlibashevsky District Local History Museum was opened. In 2001 the museum was renovated and moved to a new, more spacious building. Today the museum houses more than 9,000 ancient artifacts of the cultures of the peoples living in our district. They are displayed in 8 different exhibition halls dedicated to the prehistoric period, the nature of the native land, ethnography, the madrasa, people of military and labor glory, the Great Patriotic War, socio-economic development and the development of the district. Various events such as holidays, concerts, quizzes and lectures are also held at the museum.
