Victory Park is a place that is gaining popularity among residents and visitors of Volgodonsk. It was opened on May 9, 1985, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Victory Park is a 13-hectare green oasis divided into six zones. Here you can find a youth area with a dance floor, a quiet relaxation area, a children's area with a playground, a family area with rides, and an outdoor fitness equipment area. During the season the park hosts summer cafes, an open-air cinema, rides, a pneumatic shooting range, play mazes, a rope park, a boating pond with rowboats, and more. About 100,000 people visit the park each year. It participates in citywide campaigns dedicated to the fight against drug abuse, healthy lifestyles, national tolerance, and environmental protection. The park also annually celebrates Victory Day, Children's Day, City Day, Knowledge Day, Youth Day, Russia Day, Maslenitsa, and other holidays.
