Alexandria Park
About museum
Alexandria represents a combination of nature, culture and history that attracts numerous visitors. "Alexandria" is a palace-and-park ensemble that adjoins the eastern boundary of the official imperial residence "Peterhof". In the distant 18th century there was a hunting menagerie here, and after the accession of Emperor Nicholas I this place was rebuilt into a palace and park. It became an excellent example of Romantic landscape architecture. In honor of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna the estate was named "Alexandria". The Romanov dynasty long used it as a retreat, and today it attracts numerous visitors, as it combines nature, culture, and history.
